The approach

Design begins with understanding you

My training spans art, design, and Life & Wellness Coaching, giving me a deeper understanding of both spaces and the people who live in them.

The coaching side is what taught me to ask the right questions and listen properly. So I look beyond how a room looks, to understand how it needs to work, feel, and support the person living there.

The result is a home shaped around you, not a showroom or a passing trend.

Space Planning

Space planning solves how a room works, not how it looks. It is the layout on its own, without the finishes.

Planning & execution

Plan first. Build with confidence.

A renovation is many connected decisions. A beautiful result begins with a clear plan made before construction starts — not on site, under pressure.

I coordinate the layout, cabinetry, finishes, lighting, fixtures, and furnishings so every element works together — which gives you clarity with your contractor and far fewer rushed decisions along the way.

Philosophy

Your home is part of your well-being — it should support your life and feel like yours.

What you already own

We don't have to start from scratch

Your home may already hold furniture, art, or pieces that deserve to stay part of your story.

Wherever it makes sense, I work with what you have, find what's missing, and add new pieces with intention — so the result feels collected and personal, not bought all at once.

Real people, real homes

Homes designed around real people

We absolutely love our kitchen! Madona was so easy to collaborate with and always open to my input on design. It turned out better than we could’ve possibly imagined. Thank you, Madona!

Before we begin

What is the difference between a consultation and a full home design service?
A consultation is one focused session — I look at the space and give you clear direction you can act on yourself. A full design service carries that direction all the way through layouts, selections, sourcing, and the build.
Can you help if I am building a new home?
Yes, and the earlier the better. Layout, storage, and lighting are far cheaper to get right on paper than after framing.
Can you help with renovations?
Yes. I plan the layout, finishes, and selections before demolition, then coordinate your contractor so the build follows the plan.
Can I hire you for just one room?
Yes. A single room is a common starting point — most often a kitchen, living room, or primary bedroom.
Do you help with furniture and accessories?
Yes. Furniture, rugs, lighting, window coverings, and the finishing accessories are all part of what I source and place.
Do you provide kitchen and bathroom design?
Yes. Both, and often together, so the finishes and the budget stay coordinated.
Can you work with items I already own?
Yes. I start with the pieces that already matter to you and fill the gaps, so the home still feels like yours.
Do you source and purchase furniture for clients?
I can source the pieces and coordinate ordering and delivery, or simply give you the list to buy yourself — whichever you prefer.
How are your design services priced?
It depends on the size and scope of the project. After our first conversation I give you a clear quote, so you know what you are committing to before anything starts.
What areas do you serve?
Halifax and the broader HRM, including Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville, and Hammonds Plains.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes. For clients outside Halifax, or where it is simply easier, we can do the consultation remotely and work from photos, measurements, and a video walk-through.
How do I get started?
Call or email me and tell me a little about your home and what you would like to change. We will start with a conversation about where it makes most sense to begin.
